Welcome
to the world of

Hi and welcome to my website.
My name is Wayne Daniel Mahomet (aka Waynio). I have been
riding cycle trials for 7 years now and have progressively had
more and more influence in the Yorkshire area for the sucess
and interest of many up and coming young trials riders.
Over the past 7 years I have had much sucess locally, as well
as world wide. It all started back in 2000 when I had been working
at Aire Valley Cycles for around 6 months part time. I had seen
a work collegue (Chris Akrigg) riding his trials bike and took
an interest in trials from there.
On this site you'll find...
On this site you will
find information with regards to competition, training days,
training sessions and such forth this will all be arranged thru
the local bike trial club Tyke Trial.
Also, there will be competitions every month that 1 lucky
winner will be able to win him/herself some quality componentry
that I use and run on my trials bike. (This is all kit supplied
by all my sponsors donated to be won by anyone who enters the
online competitions).

Broken Ankle
2008 promises to be a good year. Unfortunatly I will start the
year for 20 days in plaster, as I fractured my ankle on December
12th 2007.
I aborted my bike after I found myself over balanced, jumped
back and unfortunately after landing my ankle decided to give
way...............
A couple of hours later I had been thru the A&E department
at the local hospital. Then found I had a nice illuminous pink
pot attatched to my leg. (Better to be safe and seen I suppose!)
So, after a little dissapointment, and the 2nd day into my
new sponsorship deal with onza, I found myself sidelined. Acouple
of days in I felt like cutting the pot off! But as instructed
by the hospital and a great specialist physio, I found myself
getting used to the idea. So not long until I will find myself
able to re-build and strengthen my ankle to get back on the bike
and get the season started.
Thanks to all who supported me in 2007 and I hope 2008 will bring
more publicity and sponsorship my way.

Ben
On to some more serious stuff now. Back in October 2006 I came
across an extremly nice gentleman with a young son called Ben.
This young prospect had/has everything to look forward. In November
2007 he collapsed with back pain. After a trip to the hospital
they managed to diagnose Ben. Ben was diagnosed with a spinal
tumour, of which the surgeons managed to remove a percentage.
Unfortunately the whole tumor could not be removed, and Ben is
currently receiving chemotherapy and shortly will be starting
his radiotherapy. My thoughts are with Ben's mum and dad and
hope him a good recovery.
Ben
was just 9 at the end of October, and has been riding trials
since he was 6. He already faces a massive challenge in life.
(I take every day as it comes to me and try to get the best out
of each day). I think sometimes we all take life and everyday
novelties for granted. I just want to show my appreciation and
my support to the Carlisle family and hope that I can support
and help Ben in any way, shape or form, for people to get in
touch with him and support a trial that will be one in a million.
Keep checking back for more details on this.
Im
looking to organise a trial at Addingham Moorside sometime early
in 2008 with a difference. Riders, mums, dads, sisters, brothers
etc will be able to attend a "Team Trial" to hopefully
raise money for a trip of a lifetime for Ben. Or possibly to
raise money for the hospital Ben has been looked after in and
has received his treatment so far. Hopefully in the next couple
of weeks I will have a date for the competition and hopefully
a clearer idea on how we raise the money, and how it is distributed
to support this poorly young trials star.
As
you can see from the pictures, Ben was well in with all the big
stars, training with Dougie Lampkin on motorbikes and also making
star appearances in the "Great Yorkshire Bike Show"
over the past couple of years with Marc Vinco. Hopefully, people
will re-visit my site and keep checking back on the news about
Ben, and the competition we are organising to raise money for
Cancer research, and also this very special young man's dreams.
I thank you for reading and hope you will help to support this
cause.
Kind Regards,
Waynio.
